Hands Full Ensemble, Meditations on Motherhood
Presented by Sophia Clist, Lizzy Humber and Mothers Who Make
Hands Full Ensemble Meditations on Motherhood A performance improvisation made on Zoom.
What stories can a stack of blank paper tell? Using soundscape, song, movement, sculpture and poetry, mother makers give their raw and immediate response to what it means to be a mother and a maker today, and how to hold those – and many more things – in the hands and in the home.

I performed with my daughter Bella (aged 5) as part of the community cast in the Leeds performances of ‘Touch’ at The Holbeck and Yorkshire Dance.
Touch explores the themes of connection, intimacy and physical play between parents and their children. People of all ages are invited to witness this thought-provoking dance performance, which investigates the multitude of relationships between adults and children in an intimate environment.
